Matt has always been a strong advocate for a woman’s right to safe access to reproductive health choices. He voted for the buffer zone law in 2007 that was recently struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court. Given the opportunity, he would fiercely support a new law providing a safe, constitutional zone to protect women in distress who are seeking medical attention. Women still earn less money than men for equal work. This outdated policy must be scrubbed from our legislative and social policy, and Matt will proudly stand up for the inarguable right of equal pay for equal work.
Matt also supports paid family and medical leave along with a $15 minimum wage as well as making affordable child care more accessible to young families. Too often, families struggle with difficult decisions as a result of low wages and access to affordable necessities. Matt believes we can work together toward solutions that help people–especially young families on Cape Cod–succeed right here.
